The engine mounting, made of fully-machined anodised aluminium, is designed for various fastenings (via the side or the bottom). |

The DC 80 Turbo Jet is fitted with two bearings with skew-angle supports without a cage. These are made of ceramics as they are undoubtedly the parts in the jet engine that are subject to the most stress. They are lubricated while the jet engine is in operation. |

The mounted engine is balanced using a machine specially designed for this purpose. This balancing is carried out under both static and dynamic conditions, down to a precision of three thousandths of a gram! Each jet engine is delivered with its own balancing file. |
